When the Foley family first fell in love with New Zealand they found the Marlborough wine region in the upper South Island. The iconic home of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. This region spans the well-known Wairau Valley, and also the 'baby brother' - Awatere Valley. This experience includes tours and tastings of a vineyard in each of the valleys, and showcases the difference in style in two valleys of such close proximity.
Heading back North we fly over the Cape Palliser Lighthouse, and up the rugged East coast, before crossing over the mountain range and into Martinborough where you will be greeted by a Wharekauhau Chef at the vineyard that joined the Foley family only a few months after Wharekauhau did - Te Kairanga. Enjoy a tasting and relaxed luncheon prepared by the chef before lifting off for the final time and returning to the lodge.
