Wharekauhau Country Estate sits in the midst of on of the Southern Hemispheres largest Dark-Sky reserves. Our rural location means we are a pure area with minimal ambient light, and near zero uplighting making it the perfect spot for stargazing-in-style. On one of the evenings in the package you spend an evening under the stars with one of our passionate local astronomers. From the comfort and intimacy of your own Cottage suite terrace after dinner with a cheese platter and a bottle of wine to share with your loved one, you’ll have a memory of a lifetime! 

Your stay includes a private 60-minute stargazing session with an astronomy guide, ensuring a personalized and enlightening experience. Enjoy star-gazing essentials like a cheese platter, a bottle of Te Kairanga John Martin Pinot Noir, and cozy blankets for warmth. The package offers two nights' accommodation in a luxurious Cottage Suite, complete with pre-dinner drinks and canapés each day.
