Wharekauhau Country Estate sits in the midst of on of the Southern Hemispheres largest Dark-Sky reserves. Our rural location means we are a pure area with minimal ambient light, and near zero uplighting making it the perfect spot for stargazing-in-style. On one of the evenings in the package you spend an evening under the stars with one of our passionate local astronomers. From the comfort and intimacy of your own Cottage suite terrace after dinner with a cheese platter and a bottle of wine to share with your loved one, you’ll have a memory of a lifetime! 

*Please note this is weather pending and we will always try book the star gazing in for the first night, and then if need be shuffle to the second night, however if the weather does not align either nights we cannot refund the experience.
