Held on the first Sunday of every month from March to December, our classic high tea transcends the ordinary.

As you step onto the estate, you’ll be welcomed with a glass of French champagne, and discover the games lawn, where the charm of croquet and pétanque set the stage for an afternoon filled with leisure. Whether you're a seasoned player or a curious novice, you can channel your inner Great Gatsby amidst the pristine surroundings of Wharekauhau. 

Taking a seat in the relaxed ambiance of our elegant main dining room, your high tea experience unfolds. Our curated selection of sweet and savory afternoon tea favorites, expertly crafted by our culinary artisans, is sure to delight. From delicate pastries to savory bites, each morsel is a testament to our commitment to excellence. Complementing your high tea is a carefully chosen assortment of loose-leaf teas. 

During the winter months, let the crackling fireplace provide the perfect backdrop as you enjoy our high tea fireside, adding warmth to the already cozy atmosphere. The first seating commences at 1:30pm, with the last seating at 3pm. Please make your reservations 72 hours in advance to secure your place at our table and ensure that your High Tea experience is tailored to perfection.
